This is first photo shoot of people, i just went out and explored different ideas and angles of people. To get a feel for what i may want to do for my final 4 or so pictures. while exploring this shoot, i found i really like shooting people in there natural habitats and in there everyday activities that they do ... Like siting on a bench at lunch time soaking in the sun or walking the streets of wellington or having some coffee with some friends.

Final four, i chose this one because the building is set up like Kevin Bauman's 100 abandoned houses, right in the middle of the frame, except with the blurr of cars driving past are such a rich colour. The windows on the second story of the building also have a reflection of the sky if you look closely.
Final three, this one i picked because the building is cut off in the top right hand corner with the vehicles being one of the main focuses in this image, i really like the brightness of the retail car lights.
Complete Proposal
Subject : An old abandoned building with people and cars just driving past.

Location : Arthur Street, Wellington
Statement : so many buildings in NZ have been forgotten, most just get pulled down and destroyed, but the ones who get to stay get covered in graffiti and other unwanted decorations. Walking around this building and photographing it you get the sense that it has been forgotten and lost its place in the city.
Preparation and Objectives : At the start of this project i researched photographers who could help me achieve a photo with some quality. I found Kevin Bauman and Zachery Fein to be a huge help in this. I used the influence of Kevin Bauman with his gallery 100 abandoned houses and also his cropping of each individual frame. In Zachery Fein's work he does a lot of photographs about abandoned building in cities, i especially looked at his Rooftop on Mill Creek gallery where he photographed out of the buildings with trains driving past and the city lights in the background. I my photo i wanted to capture the sense of loneliness and being forgotten as well as the busyness of people and cars in their everyday actions.
When starting to shoot my photos i originally wanted to do a mixture of night and day photos, but in the end i found the day shoots to be clearer and easier to read and understand. The night shoots gave a sense of the building being haunted and unwanted, while the day shoots i believe gave the feeling of loneliness; which is what i wanted to achieve like Zachery Fein does in his work.
With my final set of four and in choosing them, i have done a mixture of different depths of Field like Zachery Fein does in his work, i have started off really close to the building and worked my way out until you can see the hole of the front of the building like in Kevin Barman's photos, but with the blurriness of vehciles just walking past. I have cropped all my images to be like Kevin Bauman in the shapes of square concentrating on the most important part of each frame.
